Welcome to Discovery Preschool & Infant Center—where every child is known, loved, and encouraged to discover their world with joy and confidence. Our mission is to provide a warm, nurturing, and stimulating environment where children feel safe to explore, build independence, and develop the foundation for lifelong learning.
OUR PHILOSOPHY
At Discovery Preschool, children learn best through play, curiosity, and meaningful relationships. We see each child as a unique learner and focus on supporting their social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development through daily experiences that are joyful, purposeful, and engaging.
Our educators encourage exploration, foster confidence, and celebrate each milestone along the way. We believe that when children feel safe and valued, they are free to grow, learn, and thrive.
Meet Our Leadership
Mrs. Sally
OwnerMrs. Sally is the proud owner of Discovery Preschool and the heart behind its vision and growth. Her journey in early childhood began as a teenager, babysitting for local North County families. After the birth of her first child in 2003, she continued her passion for working with children as a nanny and later opened her own Family Child Care program in Vista. Five years later, her dream expanded into the creation of Discovery Preschool.
With extensive experience in Early Childhood Education and as a mother of three, Sally is deeply committed to supporting children, families, and staff. She believes in open communication and strong partnerships, making herself available to families and teachers whenever support is needed. Sally has poured her heart into building a warm, nurturing school community where children feel loved, safe, and inspired to learn each day.
Ms. KaSarah
Ms. KaSarah has been a dedicated member of the Discovery Preschool team for over six years. As a fully qualified early childhood educator and Director, she brings a strong balance of leadership, organization, and hands-on learning to her role. With a background in business management, she is committed to creating a warm, welcoming environment for both staff and families.
As a mother herself, KaSarah believes in loving and nurturing each child as if they were her own. She is passionate about building meaningful relationships and ensuring every child feels safe, valued, and excited to learn.
Director - Oceanside
After raising her three daughters, Mrs. Jen followed her passion for working with children and joined Discovery Preschool as a teacher at our Oceanside location. She later helped open the Vista center and stepped into the role of Director.
Mrs. Jen brings enthusiasm, creativity, and a love of science and art to the program, inspiring both her team and the children in her care. She believes that every child deserves to feel loved, comfortable, and excited about learning.
Director - VistaMrs. Jen
Ms. Sierra has been part of the Discovery Preschool family for eight years and truly loves what she does. With her Infant-Toddler Certification, she specializes in creating a warm and nurturing environment where young children feel safe, supported, and encouraged to explore.
Sierra’s favorite part of working with infants and toddlers is watching their personalities develop as they grow and discover the world around them. She values strong partnerships with families and takes pride in helping each child learn, laugh, and shine in their own unique way.

Ms. Lauryn grew up surrounded by children, spending much of her childhood at her parents’ daycare and preschool. Watching her mother guide and care for young learners inspired her to pursue a career in early childhood education. She went on to earn a degree in Early Childhood Studies, gaining a deeper understanding of child development and how to create nurturing, engaging learning environments.
Lauryn is passionate about continuing her family’s legacy of caring for children and making a positive impact in the lives of children every day.

OUR TEAM
Every teacher at Discovery Preschool is passionate, qualified, and dedicated to nurturing the whole child. All staff members have completed coursework in Early Childhood Education and hold current CPR and First Aid certification. Teachers in our Infant and Toddler classrooms receive additional specialized training.
Our team works together to create thoughtful, developmentally appropriate lessons that inspire curiosity, confidence, and a love of learning
